2nd week stall

Hi everyone,

This will probably be another one of those "omg i had surgery for nothing" anxiety posts-- just a heads up.

I am 2 weeks post sleeve. Been hitting my 70oz Fluid and 70gram Protein daily goals. Been averaging around 500-700 cals per day.

I was initially losing 0.5 to 1 lb per day for the first 10 days or so post op. Then all of a sudden i stopped. Been on a 4-5 day stall.

I guess i was expecting the stall to come in the 3rd week, not so early. I also know i shouldnt weigh daily, but thats a separate mental issue i havent addressed yet lol

Anyone else stall so early?

I was on liquids the first 2 weeks after surgery and I lost 8 lbs. The next 2 weeks while I was on pureed, I didn't lose a single lb. I started losing again on soft foods. I am 3 1/2 months out and I hit a 7-10 day stall every month. I now lose about 1-2 lbs a week. The scale is moving down and I've gone from a size 18 to a 12/10 so I'm happy with my progress. I need to lose about 20 more lbs so I know I'm going to continue to lose really slowly. You just have to be patient with the process. Many, many stalls are going to happen during your journey. Just follow your plan and exercise. The weight will come off.

I hit my first stall right after the 2nd week post op. I didn't lose for over a week after that.

I am much like Armygalbonnie, I hit about a week stall every few weeks and when I lose, I am losing about 2-3 pounds per week now.

I agree, follow your plan and the weight will come off.... even if it's a slow weight loss--nothing wrong with that.
