February 10, 20179 yr I ate pizza today! But I am at goal and maintaining. Did you eat the crust? It would be a little surprising if your restriction didn't kick in from that much food in one sitting. I haven't tried a personal size pizza, but I know that I can usually only do about two slices of pizza in a sitting and only if I just eat the toppings off of one of the pieces and not the second piece of crust.
February 10, 20179 yr Author Omg ..yes i did eat the crust... it was a small pizza , however i couldnt believe i ate it either! I probably won't be eating any more pizza... ive been doing pretty good w diet and exercise... but i do NOT wana start any bad habits.Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
February 10, 20179 yr Same thoughts as @JamieLogical. Wondering why your restriction didn't "kick in" at some point. How did you feel physically after eating the pizza? I had pizza last Sunday - homemade thin crust because no one does it better than my hubby; however, I can eat only one piece including the crust and maybe another bite or two of just toppings from a second piece. There's no way I could eat an entire 6" personal size pizza.
February 10, 20179 yr Author I feel ok. Im full but not like i wana explode. Lol.. i usually do good w diet and exercise, but today... not so. Lol... Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
February 10, 20179 yr Just chalk it up to one meal and move on with your good habits for the rest of the day. Everyone has a moment every now and then one meal off your recent norm doesn't mean you failed!! Sent from my iPhone using BariatricPal
February 10, 20179 yr I definitely agree that you need to put it behind you. In real life, you can't be perfect 100% of the time. The best you can do is try to make good choice 80-90% of the time. If you beat yourself up for making a bad choice once in a while, that can lead you down a path you don't want to end up on.
February 10, 20179 yr Speaking of pizza (and I do love it), I was checking my local bariatric online support group on Facebook this morning, and this lady had posted a picture of this pizza that she found at a local nutritional supply place. The pizzas are personal size, and she said she could eat half of one for a meal and she said that it was delicious, but a little pricey at $7.00 each. I was thrilled with the nutritional information of the pizza. One pizza has 270 calories, 25 grams of Protein, 16 grams of fat and get this... only 4 carbs! So I looked up the pizza on Google, the name of it is Real Good Pizza Company. They have a website and a bunch of 5-star reviews for the product. If you buy them from the company, you can get them for $5.80 each, with a minimum order of 12 pizzas. I can hardly wait to try it... going to place an order next week with them. February 10, 20179 yr @mylighthouse That seems pretty cool. I like the idea that the "crust" is made from chicken and cheese. Wish they had a smaller minimum order to try it out. $70 is pretty pricey to find out you really don't like it!
February 10, 20179 yr @JamieLogical yes, I agree with you, $70 is very pricey if it turns out you don't like the pizza. I think this weekend I am going to go to my nutrition store... apparently it can be found where I am at a place called Total Nutrition. I will pick up one pizza for $7 to see if I like it before I put in the big order with the company. I believe I saw a "store locator" on Real Good Pizza Company's website. They might have someone who carries it in your town. I will let you know whether it's yummy or not.
