No liquid diet

My surgeon doesn't do liquid diets. I can eat up until 12am day of surgery anyone else ??

I asked him why & he's been doing bariatric surgery since the 90's he says he doesn't see any significant physical reason he thinks alot of surgeons do it for the mental aspect because some pt's go insane with food funerals he had a girl gain 30lbs obsessing about what she' won't be able to eat

I thought they did it to shrink your liver ? Since it is right by your stomach. I haven't been told about a liquid diet either I go in to see him one week before but he hasn't said anything about a preop diet besides to eat healthier

I always thought you could not eat or drink before surgery because you could be sick under anesthesia.

Operating on your stomach would seem to be a time when you would not want food to be in the operation

LoL food funerals! I had planned on eating a big juicy steak and baked potato before I have to do my liquid diet!

Yep he said some people do really unhealthy things and will do it right before surgery.

I plan on that before my liquid diet starts!! Once the liquid begins that's it no more fooling around.
