Ok had surgery in September 2016, surgery went well, a few issues after but since end of November everything good. Last saw Surgeon in November. Now in 2017 new insurance does not cover bariatric serves at all, no follow up visits. If I go to Bariatric Dr. I have to pay full price for visit which runs around $250 a visit and they want me to see nutritionist which is $90 per visit, or my primary which is $35 a visit. How necessary is it to follow up with the Bariatric Dr. They want me to come 6, 9 and then 12 months, then 1 x a year. Think I can get away with seeing primary unless he or I feel there is an issue?. Pre-surgery wt 214. Day of surgery 201, now 167. I had reversal from band to sleeve. I feel great. Thanks in advance for advise. BTW, still paying off surgeon and hospital from surgery.
