  • I'm 2/13! I'm excited too! I'll be getting my band out and having RNY. The next 2 weeks can't go fast enough!

I'm 2/15 as well, but for rny. I started this journey in July and I was excited every step of the way, but now I think I'm getting a little psyched out lol. I'm kind of excited, but scared at the same

  • I think it's normal to be nervous. But I think I'm more excited than nervous! Won't be long!

I hear of several different amounts as to what is the desired amount of Water to drink daily. Can I get some feedback on what instructions you received regarding that? I was told 40 oz.

I was told to get 70oz of fluids and 75oz of Protein daily by my doctor and NUT. There's no specific water amount I was given to shoot for, but sample diet plans include about 26-30oz of water out of the 70oz target. I hope this helps!

Okay I feel stupid because I see this in a lot of posts but I don't know what it is. What is NUT?

I was given instructions of getting 80-100 grams of Protein a day.

And sorry i misspoke. I was told 4 cups -- 32 oz. that certainly doesn't seem like enough.

No worries! NUT = Nutritionist :) There's a FAQ post for the overall sleeve forum that has other common acronyms, too.

80-100g seems like an awesome target-- hopefully that amount of protein will mean no hair loss issues, etc, later. (I'm going to kick it up even more now!) (I typed 75oz of protein, but I meant 75g. Whoops!)

Well, if you're getting other fluids in beyond 32oz of Water, I imagine you're okay. The daily plans I've made have about 4 cups of water in them, too.

Thanks!! I thought maybe you meant grams when you were talking about the protein? Someone gave me info about a powder protein that each scoop gives 30 grams of protein. It dissolves well in water. If you like yogurt there are some with high protein - sometimes 12.
