Barretts esophagus

I know the sleeve is done laparoscopically. I was told that I have to have bypass due to Barrettes esophagus. I would like to know if gastric bypass is also done laparoscopically or do they cut you open and if so where do they cut?

I didn't have Bypass I had DS but it's basically a mix of Sleeve and Bypass and mine was done laparoscopically, I don't see why yours wouldn't be. I also didn't think many doctors don't do it laparoscopically. Maybe check with your surgeon and see if there is a different reason why laparoscopically wouldn't work
