I don't know if it's normal, but I had it. I also went into the hospital for some IV fluids though because I was having trouble getting them in and getting dehydrated. That was a week ago and I haven't had any issues since (three weeks post-op today).

You may have oral thrush. It's actually pretty common if you are on a liquid antibiotic post-op. Take a look at the back of your tongue and throat in a mirror. If there is a white coating, it could be thrush and you should talk to your doctor about an anti-fungal.

Thank you Jamie logical. I do have thrush. I hadn't even thought of that possibility.
