Vacation planning after surgery

So - maybe this is a dumb question but would like some feedback. My husband and I have a trip planned for next month to Kauai for 10 days. It is the first time I will have an extensive trip since my surgery and I am worried about eating away from home for so long. I am looking into packing some Protein bars and some Protein Drink powders. Thought? How have you guys found a good balance when traveling post op?

I haven't gone anywhere yet but I've been reading up for my trip to Punta Cana.

Try to eat your Protein first and bring an insulated tumbler to keep your Water cold. Bring some raw almonds, tuna pouches, and protein powders to add to food if needed.

Just wanted to also say I am so jealous! I love Kauai!!! My favorite place ever is the Napali coast. Take the Napali coast boat tour. It's gorgeous!!!
