Medicaid in Pa will pay in full determined by your health issues and or BMI. Call the member service on back of your card. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

When i had my insurance meeting some in the room had medi-cal and medicare and were told they would have to cash pay or it can take 2-3 years dieting to get the surgery approved. I think that is absolutely ridiculous!! I hope you hear better news from the surgeon when you connect with them!!!

I'm having my surgery via Medicaid in Illinois. There is a lot of stuff to do but eventually they will pay for it. I had to do a 6 month supervised diet, have an endoscopy, see a pulmonologist, see a cardiologist, and have a psych eval. I imagine you might have to go through similar requirements. But it'll be worth it. Call the number on the back to see if they cover bariatric surgery. Some states don't, some do.
