My experience...I have insurance and the hospital I chose required me to jump through so many hoops. I did everything asked of me. After of months of struggle to lose the required weight. Once I gave up I finally lost the required weight and then some. I contacted bill with Dr Illan after lots of research. I have a date for my surgery and have no desire to go back to the hospital I was going to have it originally as I never got a date just told I have to lose weight to have the surgery. With Dr Illan I got to choose the date I wanted. They have answered every question I have. I'm happy with my choice. I would say getting my date took less than 2 weeks.

It depends entirely on the surgeon. I contacted the surgeon for the first time on June 17th I believe and had my surgery on Sept. 1. But I could probably have scheduled it earlier if I had wanted.

Most surgeons will require a pre-op diet for about two weeks. So you would probably have to wait at least that long.
