DS in Louisiana

Anyone had a DS in Louisiana or a PCP there that's familiar with the DS? I move to LA in a few days, but I'm only just over 2 months post-op. I'm terrified to leave my surgeon and his care, but this is happening! I need to find a new doc to monitor my bloodwork and make sure I don't get malnourished!

Maybe you could call the places that do DS's and ask about PCP's that are familiar with DS's. Will be having DS in Louisiana in a month or so waiting for insurance approval so I can get scheduled in. I think there are 3 or more doctors that perform this in Louisiana don't quote me but do believe some are doing the SADIS or SiPs DS not the traditional so make sure you tell them which one you have had done. Good luck my doctor never has messed with anyone with DS but has Rny has a very open mind so think I will be able to work with him

What part of Louisiana will you be relocating to? I had the DS on Dec 27th, love my surgeon and his entire team!!

Greater New Orleans Metro. Who is your surgeon? Hope you're doing well with your recovery!
