I'm right there with you. I didn't expect this to be as hard as it is. I'm also 4 days postop. I know this pain will end and that eventually I'll be able to eat again. I have so many concerns. I hate chicken broth and so I'm having a hard time getting the Protein in that I feel my body needs. I feel like I'm starving myself, but I don't want to eat anything. I want to eat everything, but I don't want to eat anything. Does that make sense? I'm also such a picky eater and am just scared of malnutrition. Drinking plenty of Water and I found some Protein powder that can be added to water. I just hope that's enough. I also don't want to lose my hair. It's my favorite thing about myself. Just a lot of worry over here.

So, I don't know a single person who does want their hair to fall out. There is not much you can do about that. However, you can make yourself get in the liquids and protein that your doctor requires right now. Sometimes we just have to do things we don't like, but it is for a short period of time. Being a picky eater won't lead to long term malnutrition and hopefully that will help you make healthy choices.

One more thing, let the worry go. This is a complete lifestyle change now and not a diet. Your journey will be much more pleasant if you don't worry thru it.

Yep. I'm sure no one wants to lose their hair. Not sure that needed to be said. I also know that in life we have to do things we don't necessarily want to do. I'm just voicing my concerns. I thought that's what this was for? Just looking for encouragement from people dealing with the same concerns.
