Protein

I was sleeved on 12/14/16. I'm having trouble getting all of my Protein in. I know this is common but I was wondering how much you guys are getting in? Between having to get 64 oz of Water and a minimum of 60 g of protein a day, I'm struggling. I'm getting about 40 g of protein a day.. I really don't want to lose my hair or get sick. I'm sipping on it all day, but there's just no room in my pouch for anymore! Lol

I would recommend getting the flavored Protein Water servings. Youll getting your protein and water intake all at the same time.

I'm struggling with the water and protein as well, I only get slight hunger pain I think, I drink some liquids and goes away.

It takes me about 1.30 hour t get about 8-10 Oz of protein down, so my Soups and water have to do the rest.

I was sleeved on 12/5...

Agree you're still very fresh out to worry too much about getting all the Protein in, just do the best you can and focus on fluids, preferably with some type of protein to combine them. You may also want to try some protein powders, like the unjury, comes in various flavors. The chicken flavor is very tasty and comforting on a fresh post op tummy, and it's 20 or 21gr of protein. That combined with 1 Premiere Protein shake (30 grams of protein) would get you almost to 60 with just those 2 things. And I agree with suzzzzz....there isn't too much you can do to avoid hair loss, you either get it or you don't, and odds are higher you'll experience hair loss to some degree regardless of getting in all protein/vitamins or not. Be well!

I think they're the flavoring packets in the aisle with the regular water flavorings. I'm not sure if they're sugar free or not but I definitely am gonna look into them! How are you feeling?

I had DS on 12/14. I have to get 80-100grams of Protein a day. The only way I get close is with my GENEPRO. It is almost completely unflavored and mixes well. I put one scoop in 4oz of anything (Powerade, Vitamin Water, milk, decaf tea) and get 30g protein from the 4oz drink. I mixed it in warm broth yesterday. Not sure I would be able to do it without it.
