Pre Op Diet / Diabetic

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting and I was curious about whether or not anyone here started their Pre-Op diet and became nauseous the first day? This is my first day and I've had low blood sugar symptoms and I even threw up this morning? Did the diet do this to anyone else? How long did it last?

I was nauseated for sure- part of your body going into ketosis. You'll feel better in a couple days.

Are you on meds for diabetes? If you are keep close track of your b/s and make sure if you are seeing lows to let your doc know. Mine had me stop all meds during pre-op as a result of lows.

Good Luck!

For me, the magic mark was 3 days. After that the headaches and nausea have gone away and now I just need to worry about keeping strong. If I can do this, I'm sure you'll do great!!
