I had my rny on Saturday December 10th. I came home yesterday. Thankfully my surgery went very well, so grateful for that. However--for anyone who says this is the "easy way out" can for lack of a better saying "kiss my butt"! Haha. It's pretty painful, and the amount of gas that you have to get out from being filled with it is extreme. Everyday the pain does ease up though. I'm trying to get all my liquids in because I'm not hungry at all. Lots of rest and lots of support around you will get you through. Thoughts and prayers for everyone who has their procedure coming up. Xoxo.

Congratulation and welcome home! The discomfort will get a little better everyday and before you know it things will become normal for you.

Sip like crazy, it is the dehydration that always makes us ill after getting home.

Glad your doing well Mandaberries. I had my bypass on the 13th December & came home last night. I know what you mean about the gas when will it end? I'm getting most of my required liquids in, mainly with diluted Protein drinks but with a struggle. How long does it take for you consume one drink?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
