Most people don't have a drain after surgery. I had one and it was supposed to stay in for one week, however, I had issues with it bleeding so my surgeon took it out 4 or 5 days after surgery.

How long are you going to have it? What exactly is hurting?

I had mine for 10 days and it felt like forever, but it never hurt me.

Are you comfortable taping your tube to your stomach? That may help the pulling feeling.
