Surgery day question- girl stuff

I am having my surgery in 4 days and I am just about to start my period. Anyone else have to deal with this on day of surgery and first few days after? I'm so frustrated about having to deal with the whole situation including extra pain.

Yes!!! I got mine the day before surgery. It was very unwelcome. It was hard to deal with that during surgery (you can't wear a tampon and had to wear mesh underwear and a big pad) and afterwards I could use a tampon but to bend down to put in was so painful. Sorry, maybe the stress Of not eating presurgery will delay it. No other major issue with it, just annoying and could have definitely done without it. Period.

im so happy someone asked this cause I'm 7 days away from surgery and i can tell my period is coming so if i literally don't have it today or tomorrow I will either be on the last day of it or on it during surgery and that sucks! "and I have pcos and hardly even get my period, so what a time to -_-"

I started my period the day before surgery and there was no issue. And honestly, while in hospital i didnt even worry about it. I mean i wanted to shower and stuff and was eventually able to the next day, & i hope this doesnt gross anyone out but i didnt even worry about pads or anything. I brought them with me and ended up not using them and just laying on a big pee pad looking thing they put down anyway.

@@OhHeyMarina I have pcos too and have been irregular for most of this year. I got one last month so was hoping to dodge the bullet. What timing yo start being regular again. I started one day late from when my iP app predicted. Of all times!!! Good luck to you!!
