Not thinking about it, I drank Water from a straw the other day (finishing the entire glass of water) when we were out and about. I had no ill effect whatsoever.

My surgery was September 28. To be honest, I have never had an issue with water. I was able to drink 64 oz by Day 3 post-op, and I have been having about 120 oz every day since about the second week post-op.
