Freaking out feeling awful!

Freaking out going to surgeon tomorrow, 8 days post op headache, bloated, can't keep sugars up, getting Protein and drinking min of 60 oz a day h20. Just feeling blah and ache oh and this part hurts the most I've only lost a pound! Tell me it gets better I can't get out of my hea!

  • I agree with Babbs as well. I do remember having the headaches and chicken broth (homemade) with ginger helped me immensely! Good luck and keeping fingers (and toes) crossed for you. Best wishes!

Your job right now is drinking as much as you can and getting your Protein in. Also do some walking. That always made me feel better.

Hang in there. Of course it's going to get better, you just have to get through the hard part first.

Many gain significant weight from swelling and IV fluids post op. I was heavier than before surgery for a couple weeks. It does get better. Soon your energy will bounce back and the pain will ease. Keep your fluids up and get your protein. Like Babbs said you just had major surgery! And soon that scale will start moving!

Good to hear that you are doing better! If puree makes you feel sick thin it a little or go back to liquids for a few days.
