No I don't I just met the surgeon Nov. 17th thank God I don't have to do the 6 month thing like everyone else. So my appointments are made I'm just waiting on the EDG my slip has already been faxed to the dr. Office. So I should be done everything mid Dec. So I think I'll get a date in January. Fingers Crossed

Oh ok. I didnt have to do the 6mnths either. My insurance only required 4 months. I could have had the sleeve this month but because I had just transfer to another position at work my 90 days wouldn't be up til Dec 7th and I didnt want any issues. But it worked out. You get your approval bfre you know it. Keep us posted.

I'm December 1st and it can't come soon enough. I'm so ready. I have my pre-op appt today at the surgery center. I just found out last night that my sister is flying in on Thursday from NJ to TX. I think that's unnecessary but super sweet. She'll be a very attentive nurse I'm sure!

Still hanging on hoping that the scale has moved day 7 quickly approaching busy with planning surgery and hopeful that I will see some results tomorrow. Just keep telling myself 7 days to go .

My surgery date is December 6th, and I can't wait!

I have been on my pre-op diet for a week now, 3 Protein Shakes and lots of green leafy vegetables. If I get really hungry, I'll have a hardboiled egg. On Thanksgiving I had a small slice of turkey, and a big green salad. No one said anything about my choice of foods!

My food funeral was in early November, and it consisted of a lot of good bread, cheese and wine.

I am going to Mexico and self paying, which is still less expensive than the out of pocket costs for having it done locally in Washington State. On my flight to San Diego, I will be on my second day of Clear Liquids, and I am planning to bring some Soup mixes for the flight.

My motto is New Me in 2017!

I am starting to have mixed emotions. On one hand I am extremely excited about having my surgery and what 2017 has in store. On the other hand, I am beginning to get nervous about the surgery itself. I don't like being put under..never have. I feel confident that I can make it through this 2 week liver reduction diet that I will start on Wednesday. I'm trying to stay focused; however, I do plan to have my ribeye steak dinner tomorrow.

I'm not doing a food funeral, but I have been enjoying some of my favorite foods that I will not have for a while.
