Lying on your stomach

Can ya'll feel the port when you lie on your stomach? Mine is actually pretty painful and it is uncomfortable to lie that way.

Also, I have pain in the port area when I do crunches. After about 20-25 it starts feeling "strained" in there if that makes any sense. I decided if it hurts, I probably shouldn't be doing it.

I am 6 weeks out from surgery and don't see the dr. again till the end of October, but I will definitely bring it up.

I was banded 5/29/07 & am a stomach sleeper, too. I can feel my port, but it isn't painful, just there. I figure I'll be feeling it more the more weight I lose.

I don't think that's unusual for 6 weeks out from surgery. I was able to start lying on my side around 2.5 weeks afterward, but if I lay on it too long it starts to bother me a little. It gets better every day though. I'm sure someone who's been banded longer will be able to provide a more detailed answer.
