Hi guys, I'm a 4 weeks post op sleever. I'm wondering will food always feel uncomfortable going down into my belly? I'm taking small bites, I'm chewing into small bits, the food goes down well, but as soon as it hits the stomach it's the most uncomfortable 2mins of my life with each bite.

It gets better. Have you tried different types of food to see if they react differently?

Yes, I will say some foods are better on the stomach than others. I've come to grips with eating small portions, but I just wondered if the uncomfortable feeling will ever go away

Have you asked your surgeon about this issue? I don't think you should have so much discomfort at 4 weeks. In fact, at 4 weeks I wasn't eating anything I had to chew much. Mostly very soft foods. Perhaps you could go back a stage for a few days to see if that helps. You may still have too much swelling for what you are eating.

Thanks. Yes, I've been on pureed foods but he told me I could start introducing Protein foods such as tuna & fish....but it causes discomfort, so I always result back to the pureed.
