Yes I'd say it's normal at 8 days but if in doubt you should always reach out to your surgical team regarding post op pain. It takes 6 to 8 weeks to heal. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

From what I've read surgery swelling and pain can last 30 days. That being said, I am at day 4 and I get pain from three things. 1. taking that 4th sip without wait 15 mins between sips. 2. pressing on several of my incisions and 3. No helping myself get out of bed correctly or twisting.
