I know they say you have to be a certain bmi Welll you know I'm 5'5 and 281 pounds so yes I think I'm fat enough... lol please don't take me to serious I'm just silly :D but seriously what should I expect out of this appointment. Okay of course since I'm soooo anxious I registered for 3 post classes yes before the dr. appointment! lol needless to say they were cancelled  but okay that's fine it's on after I leave the doctors office....

I have BCBS PPO of Michigan. I went to the intro class that was very informative. My insurance required me to have 6 months of meeting with my PCP and her discussing the surgery with me (she really just gave her opinion but she agreed to submit a letter on my behalf of the surgery) I have been her patient for 14 years so she's seen my struggle of the Yoyo dieting and the aches and pains I deal with. I'm 5'5 240 lbs but I also have sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, high blood pressure and PCOS....but the insurance company only cared about the sleep apnea, the BMI (they wanted 40 but I was at 39.5 but the sleep apnea diagnoses gave me .5 Lol) and my doctors consent and a psych eval.

Call your insurance company and they will tell you what all is covered and what is required and copay amounts before you start. That's what I did. I have my psych Eval next weekend and I'm ready.

Best of wishes to you lady!!
