Hi everyone,

I was just wandering I haven't had surgery yet but I hear of some people getting sick off of certain things, when this happens is it immediate and how long does it last? Is is just vomiting that is the outcome or does it come out the other end too and do you need to be close to a bathroom after eating certain things? Thanks just trying to get myself prepared for anything with this surgery!!! Then maybe I won't so panicked about this whole thing!!

Thanks

I haven't been sick (in terms of vomiting) at all and I am 27 days post-op. But I have followed my plan to the letter, and I only eat very small amounts at one time. My Protein and Fluid in-take is an all-day, full-time job right now.

I haven't thrown up once since being sleeved. I had a very conservative progression plan and followed it closely.

I have never thrown up and my surgery was 13 months ago. Everyone is different though. I have a coworker who was sleeved before I was and we went through the same program and she was sick for the first few weeks after surgery but then was fine after that first few weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
