Made a blunder!

8wks along. Today was my first day feeling really like my old self. For exercise this AM I stacked wood for over an hour, did some chores around the house and even walked 30min tonight. dinner was later due to soccer practice for my son. Then I made dinner for myself....lemon haddock with almond slices... Proteins galore...I felt like my old self and ate too fast and probably too much...everything came right back out, hard and fast. I forgot I need to eat differently now and ate fast like I used to, instead of slow till I was full. You'd think 8wks of practice would have taught me. Anyone else ever screw up and make themselves sick? I won't forget this lesson. Ouch.

No I will always love that haddock. It was just a dumb old habit of eating crazy fast. I paid for it. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal App

  • I thought you ate something you shouldn't have. I bet many eat too fast at times. I hope it didn't ruin lemon haddock for you - that sounds delicious.

Yea I will...thanks. Slow and steady....I'm glad it's not reflux, but it sucked. I've eaten haddock many times, so I know it's not dumping. I guess the rules are there for a reason. Sent from my

I'm glad you responded, I have a question - you said it takes 6 months for the stomach to heal fully. Does that mean a leak can happen in the time from your surgery through to 6 months? For some reason I'm having "leak dreams" and get worried.

Any insight will be appreciated.
