Dry mouth

I'm 5 weeks out and constantly have dry mouth. Plus not even water tastes good to me. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes I can only tolerate certain brands of Water. I don't like any purified water but I like smart water, core water, and spring water. Just try different kinds if it helps and the colder the better for me.

Ketosis or high protein drys your mouth. Always try to get your liquids many like biotene which is a mouth wash for dry mouth. I have it and when feel really dry use for a while.

@@chycky - ah, that makes sense. I had thought it was because I had been so used to carbinated drinks, but I gave those up pre-surgery, I think you solved that mystery for me. Thanks
