Birth Control

Hello everyone, I went to a Bariatric doctor for first consultation on 8/26. He told me I cannot use birth control with some specific ingredient one before and after de surgery. Someone knows anything about this? Any recommendations?

    I had the nuvaring pre op, dr requested I not use it for a month after surgery. Back to normal use with no problems. (I'm 8.5 weeks out)
