Have been reading a few things about injections after the op ... Feel like I'm being stupid but does anyone know about this ?

@@megnun21 Often times you will be put on blood thinners post-op and it's typically injections into your stomach. They will teach you this either at your pre-op class, pre-admission testing or post-op instructions. You're not being stupid - a lot of people don't know.

@@megnun21 Not everyone has to take blood thinners - I think it depends on the person and the surgeon.

On my Pre-op appointment they told me about them. It's just so you don't get blood clogs. MY doc said I will be getting some.

My drs don't tell us till it gets close to the date of surgery, this way we don't worry about it as long.

Yes - or a family member I suppose.

It's not as bad as it seems. You just grab some of the chubby tummy fat, poke the crazy tiny needle in and inject the liquid. Done fast, once I did the first time...easy after that.
