I'm sick, help!

I am 17 days post op. I have this terrible cold that started yesterday. I called the office and said since I am newly post op they didn't want me taking anything but clairtin. Of course I was sick as a dog last night and couldn't sleep. Then, in the middle of the night, every time I would drink, I get this gurgling noise in the back of my throat, my stomach makes this weird noise and I get nausea. This is all new. I am thinking maybe because I am sick? Every time I take a drink it happens and I feel like I may puke. Help?

Ditto the neti pot. It's amazing how much it helps just to clear out the sinuses. Essential oils like eucalyptus can also help open up the airways, or some Vicks Vapo Rub.
