@@paul12677 Many people have weight loss requirements either from their insurance or their surgeon. I would recommend going with a high protein/low carb diet (similar to how you will be eating post-op) and making sure you are drinking at least 64 ozs of non-caloric drinks. Get rid of the high calorie drinks, soda (even diet), Pasta, rice, breads, Cookies, sweets, etc. Depending on how much you lose with that - you may end up having to do a Meal Replacement shake for at least one meal. Try eating at least 3 times a day (3 hours or more in between) - don't graze, don't skip a meal. Avoid fast foods - prepare yourself for what you will eat during the day/week and have everything available.

It's not easy but if you put your mind to it - you can do it!!! Men lose quicker than most women - so you have that on your side.
