Having sleeve on September 27!

I have been trying to get gastric bypass surgery 6 years. I finally got approval for a surgeon to do the surgery I originally wanted gastric bypass but the doctor wants to do this leave and I'll be happy at this point to get anything. I had first started trying to get the surgery 6 years ago and then we discovered that I had endometrial cancer. So with any malignancy you're automatically disqualified. However my oncologist and I finally got a surgeon to understand that I can't have a hysterectomy because of my weight but if I can get the weight loss surgery and lose some weight ; I will be able to get the hysterectomy. This has been a very long road but finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel!

So sorry that you are starting this with the complication of endometrial cancer. I wish you well with both surgeries. The initial weight loss comes pretty rapid for some. Hopefully, you will be able to get the hysterectomy soon.

May God bless you!
