Kidney disease

Hi everybody

I'm the gal who only had the 39 bmi. Then with a little help became 41 bmi. Recently I was told that may have to carry a bmi of 40 or greater for at least a month to be reconsidered if surgeon denies me. I have a phone consult with the surgeon this month (he's the one that took out my gallbladder 2 yrs ago and told me then I need gastric bypass). I have high cholesterol. But I've also been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. On no meds for it. But it's in my chart for ongoing conditions. Could this be something that could help me qualify for the surgery?

@@kimberb I don't know if it would be considered a comorbity but definitely talk to your surgeon about it. It may impact your pre-op and post-op diet. Is there an underlying cause of the kidney disease?

Not that I'm aware of.
