  • I was told by the NP at my doctors office if you fail to get at least 60 grams a day of a complete Protein , you will lose hair. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

lost hair for 1 1/2 years, and I hope it never happens again.

I can hardly believe this. I took Biotin the placebo for 1 1/2 years wore wigs and visors. Finally I have hair again. It has been three years and I am now pushing myself to get some more weight off, reverting to shakes. Scares me to think I might go through this again.

I am 5 months post op. My hairloss has stopped because I am making sure I try and get 70g of Protein per day

You can get the myfitness pal and u can track your Protein intake throughout the day. Try by having your Protein shakes made with milk. I am finding a shake in the morning, small can of tuna for lunch, large cappachino and 100g of meat pretty well will get u there. Snack on nuts, small cans of 4 bean mix, baked Beans

Plenty of protein here with hair loss 1 1/2 years. It's a crapshoot!
