I have had surgery on Monday aug 15 and felt great right after surgery. Even walked! Now that I been home I been getting nauseous for no reason. I am having a hard time keeping things down. Has this happened to anyone before and what will help ? How long does this last? The nausea medication makes my nausea worse.

Your body is recovering. Let your doctor know you're having trouble. He might need to switch you to a different nausea medication. If you're still taking pain medication, that could also be contributing to nausea. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor or his nurse. Don't suffer in silence.

I haven't taken any pain medication I feel like I don't need it. The nausea is kicking my ass basically been in bed beside a few walking around they are closed. I firgured if it's not normal I'll call in the morning

They give you stuff in that iv for nausea that's why you didn't feel much of it while in hospital and are experiencing it now that you are home.

My Doctor gave me Promethazine to rub into my wrists for nausea and that helps a lot! I am one month out and still get a lot of nausea.
