My doc and NUT recommend forever as well. I do have a cup of coffee or tea now and again never more than a cup. I'd check with your team and see what they say.

My Dr said it was an appetite stimulant and to avoid it for that reason. Caffeine does the exact opposite to me.

Before I could have coffee after surgery I just took a caffeine pill. Then I added coffee back and I have coffee all day every day (cold brew low acid).

Talk to your Dr about it..

Also caffeine is in stuff like Goody powders because it makes them hit your blood stream faster.

I was allowed to have it fairly soon - less than a month. I have a cup of coffee most work days. it helps me with my grown up manners. :P

3.5 months out and I have 1/2 of 5 hr energy drink each day, they are in those tiny bottles. Better than a whole Red Bull. That's what gives me my personality ;)
