How to tell the difference!

I'm 6 days post-op and an hour can't pass by without you know that feeling when you're reaaaally starving and haven't eaten all day.

How can i tell if it's real hunger or stomach acid???

I do take nexium once a day.

This is a hard question to answer.....but know that just because your stomach is grumbling doesn't mean you're hungry.....Your stomach will be very very grumbley! So don't use that as a sign of hunger. If you think you actually feel hungry drink more Water. You really shouldn't be feeling hunger. If you are having issues with stomach acid make sure you're taking a PPI. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but it just takes time to learn your new stomach signals.

Best test to see if it is real hunger or acid is to eat (drink) Protein. If the feeling goes away for a while then it was hunger. If the feeling doesn't go away then it was not. It could also be head hunger but use the same "test".
