Insurance approval

Hello everyone,

Today I had my temporary last appointment & today my paper work goes to insurance for approval. I'm so nervous. How long does this process usually take?

      Most insurance companies have about 14 days, but you usually hear back sooner. But I would call them to make sure they receive your paper work. I've seen quiet a few people on here that wait and when

      I still have 3 months before I get to this point, but I know my surgeon's office said my insurance (Tricare Prime) takes about 2 weeks. They said the avg for most insurances is 30 days.

    My insurance company (Horizon BCBS, NJ) told me to expect a 5 day turnaround - but they decided they needed a second review and told me that it could take 7-14 days for the second review

    I had my final required nutritionist appointment on 8/3/16. All the referrals and lab work was also done (I was done with all that like the month before). My surgery is already scheduled for 9/19/16, which I take as a good sign. The doctor sees no reason why my insurance would deny me. They did say to give it up to 14 business days. It's been about 7. The waiting is killing me lol.

    I have Excellus BCBS and it took them about 4 HOURS. I had to call just to make sure I was reading my screen right!

    Got my approval letter yesterday! Surgery is all set for 9/19/16. So excited!!! ???????????? Thanks for the good vibes. It only took 7 days to hear back from my insurance. Not too bad.
