I was told the same thing, my doctor told there was a chance I wouldn't get sleeved the same day but thank God I woke up sleeved the same day...was banded for 4 years with no complications except that I had gained 30lbs back so that's why I decided to get sleeved... I had the lap band for 4 years and never had any problems with it until it stopped working for me and gain almost 30lbs back so I decided to get sleeved...I got sleeved June 23rd and so far I been doing great with no complications and hope to continue doing the same! @@denise250 I'm doing great and hope to continue doing the same. I was never in much pain so didn't need pain medication after 2nd day after surgery. I went to my first post op appointment on July 7th and had lost 17 lbs in 2 weeks...I'm in the puree stage and doing good no problems swallowing so far. The only problem for me is getting all my liquids in, it seems like I need more hours in a day but other than that no regrets. Thanks for asking!???? I was sleeved June 23 and everything was going great until last night, I was sitting outside enjoying the night when I felt my stomach wet, I went to the bathroom to check and my big incision where the port was, was bleeding my sweater and my blouse were wet from the blood. I panic right away and called my bariatric doctor and he told me it was common and as long as I didn't have a fever or pain I was good. It's still bleeding a little today. I had my first post op appointment this past Thursday and I asked my doctor if I could add hot sauce to my chicken broth and he said yes but not to over due it, to try a lil first and then I can add more as I find out how my new stomach would react...so far so good I haven't have any problems with spicy sauce, I couldn't live with out anything spicy, I love spicy food... Mine is not bleeding any more my doctor told me just to leave it alone cause its just blood that accumulates sometimes and it needs to get out and it sure did, it took like 5 days to stop bleeding but it did...I was so scared but thank God it was nothing to worry about. @@AmyD102 my surgery went really good (thank God ) my doctor removed my band and was able to do my sleeve at the same time...first day of surgery I was pretty much sleepy all day but with no pain, 2nd day I was alert and with just a little discomfort on my belly but not much, I also started liquid diet the day after surgery and no nausea or voting which was great....Doctor discharge the day after surgery and it's been good only a little bit of sourness and not much gas pain either. ..I hope to continue like this through my recovery...thanks for asking Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

@@dolcegirl I my self have United Health care I was denied the first time but that was due to their policy of me going through a 6 moths supervised diet but once I finished all their requirements I was approved with in a week and I also had my lap band in Mexico because I didn't have insurance back than and the hospital and doctor were one of the best in my opinion...who's your doctor in Mexico?
