My last apt with my surgeon was this past Tuesday . How long does it take for them to submit it to my ins? I called today and my ins doesn't have it yet. My surgeon already gave me a date of 8/31. I know it's only 4 days. Does the ins co receive the submitted paperwork by mail, fax or electronically ?? I'm Getting a little crazy waiting .

Typically, the insurance coordinator faxes the paperwork over. I know I had a LOT of paperwork submitted, over 100 pages. You might want to keep in touch with your insurance company so that you know the progress. Probably easier to do that than to keep asking the coordinator. My approval came within 48 hours, but all companies are different. Good luck!
