Pre-Op Oops

So, my original surgery date was moved up, and so was my pre-op diet that I missed a week of and now I'm 5 days out from my surgery date and I have cheated big time twice... I'm legit worried and talking to my surgeon is not an option lol

Just get back on track and don't have anything off-plan again. The pre-op diet is important to shrink your liver - making for a safer surgery. It's also a good time to learn how to deal with cravings and emotional eating - as you can't go off plan post-op or you will risk significant complications. Be sure to have your food options handy and prepare for days at work, etc. If you feel like you want to cheat - go for a walk, find a distraction, read a book, color, etc.

Stay strong!!!

I get the whole pre op diet thing. What I don't get is why some surgeon's do and some don't. Mine doesn't. I have surgery for July 25. I had my final pre-op appt. and was scared to death my weight was going to be an ounce over goal:). Look at it this way. The surgeon probably does 't want to lose money by rescheduling you...I be you'll be fine if you stick it out the rest of the way. Good luck!
