Newbie

Hi everyone! My name is Sunny. I've been lurking around for a while and finally decided to make a profile for myself. I spoke with my PCP today and he is 100% for me having the surgery and put in the official referral. Next is going to the mandatory conference and setting up my appointment. Wish me luck!:)

Good luck and let us know if we can be of any help.

Good Luck! This is an awesome site - if you have been lurking, you have probably found your way around the website pretty well. Lots of info here and lots of people that can share experiences.

Does anyone know how long it takes to scedual the surgery after you see the doctor.

It depends on your insurance as well.

For example, I had (and am currently in the middle of) my 6 month supervised "diet" that needs to be done before I am completely approved. I am then under the impression that the surgeons (at my center) are usually booked 4 weeks out.

Some insurances require different lengths. Some don't. Some doctors require a specific time. Some don't. Some require weight loss. Some don't. Lol.

It varies
