Gina171, I'm feeling really good!! I went to Walmart for a bit today. I don't hurt anywhere, but my incision sites are itching like crazy and I am super sore, like someone rearranged my insides, lol!!!

I am having a hard time getting "enough" fluids in...I think I'm getting a little dehydrated. I don't want to end up back in the hospital on fluids, so I better step up my game tomorrow lol!

Wow! I am hugely impressed!! I hope that I am like you and trying an errand or two a few days post-op!

Right now I just have so much anticipation anxiety, counting down the days and hours....I think it will be a relief just to be on the other side of surgery and starting to count down something else!

Please keep us posted on how you are doing?

@@MadisonsMommy Glad to know I'm not the only one, haha. All of my incisions are itching, but one has gotten a big red ring around it, and doesn't feel like the others, so I think I'm going to have to call my surgeon for some antibiotics, blah.

I can't believe that my surgery is tomorrow morning. I am a nervous wreck. Reading all of your comments helps though.

Dusty, I am right there with you. I go on Thursday. Can't keep my head straight to do a simple task.

Have to be in the hospital for my surgery in 3.5 hours. I can't sleep! I can't believe the day is here. It took so long getting here. I am nervous, but excited about being healthy again. I am excited about being proud of myself again and not ashamed of my weight. I am anxious to not feel like people are judging me based on my weight. I was always thin as a child, but started gaining weight at 18 and now I am 40. I have never been thin as an adult and I am ready to know this feeling. I stuck to the preop diet really well and didn't struggle much. It was hard, but I want to follow my doctors instructions throughout this process the best I can. I am ready!!!!

Good luck to evedyone going in today im 2 days post op and all my nerves went away when i laid on the table and went on to sleep you guys got this keep your eyes on the prize

To my newly bypassed friends: I'm just over a week out, and I think I am feeling hungry :/ I didn't cheat at all on the liquids the first week, but since I've been allowed to add cottage cheese and yogurt I've been eating a little more than recommended. They say I should be sticking to a tablespoon max at a time, but I can easily eat 1/4 cup already. I know I'm not supposed to push it, but I'm terribly tempted to eat more and taboo foods. I'm starting to wonder if they really did the surgery at all, haha. I thought I wouldn't be hungry during this time, but I really thought I wouldn't be able to eat much. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Maybe this is all head hunger, but I don't really know how to tell. I want to eat, I seem to be able to eat. I guess I'm just wondering why I did all this in the first place...
