Big Fat Fab Life

I watched two episodes on Wednesday and it reminded me why I don't usually watch this show. It's great to love yourself no matter what but when I saw Whitley on the ski slope starting to lose her balance and heading towards a face plant, I felt her pain...and embarrasment afterwards. That was the kind of thing I thought would finally be the straw that broke the camel's back and she would finally do something serious about her excess weight. Even fainting and going to the ER might not do it...but being so frightenend because she couldn't control herself falling was the kind of thing that would make me know that I had come to the end of my rope. But no...even though she cried when talking about the incident, she still managed to rationalize not doing anything to seriously change up her situation.

I can only imagine how folks without weight issues would watch this and presume that all overweight people are living in the land of denial like Whitney is. I wish this show would go away or that she would admit that she needs to take herself in hand and not just say hollow words that you know she doesn't mean or believe in.

Ok..small rant over. Got it off my chest and now I feel better. :)

I cannot relate to her in any way. She's a spoiled brat. Miserable, yes. But a lot of people are very miserable who aren't incredibly self absorbed. I'd rather support them. Ugh.

FYI...I just read that she wrote a book all about accepting yourself at any size and not being fat shamed. When you cry on camera because an incident upset you so much, you have NOT accepted yourself

I'm laughing up a storm right now. So Ann...tell us how you really feel...

I don't like her. ;)

I find her incredibly annoying and sad.

Tonight's revelation: she has never bought her own car or had a car payment.

She is always putting her dance class in a position to perform unprepared but it's all about her.

She participated/performed in a PARADE and didn't seem to smile, laugh, or have one bit of fun. It seems like it would be right up her alley since she is so starved for attention.

She has absolutely NO boundaries.

...did you hear her talking about the boyfriend? It's all about her not being alone...and nothing about how crappy he treats her. I suspect this is very typical of relationships/marriages where someone is obese. That's probably the reason why so many marriages end after the obese partner looses weight and decides they need/deserve to be treated better.

She is 30 years old. She has ways to go. Is fat beautiful? Not for me! This is her denial. She has some growing up to do. Her parents are comical....they got a pig. The boyfriend....ugghh!! You can't see his face. I agree with gowalking. I get she is annoying and it's because she needs to mature. What would she being doing if it weren't for the show? They are paying her. She would not be living with Buddy in the house. Her dance class would not pay her much. So because of the show they add the dramatics to make interesting.

I love her mother. I generally like Whitney, but I agree she has a lot of growing up to do. I'd be furious if I were in her dance class with the lousy way she prepares them, but then acts like they're a pro troupe.
