Hey there, anyone else having surgery july 14th? It's so real now..I'm getting really nervous and excited! Any advice for the newbie would be greatly appreciated!

Not having surgery then, but it IS the date of my first appointment with my surgeon, AND it's my 25th wedding anniversary. Which is awkward bc my husband and I are currently living apart bc of marital problems, but he really wants to be at the surgeon's appt too, to be my support person. Too messy, I think.

But YOUR day will hugely life changing! Which surgery are you having? Where?

July 6th here. Still can't believe I'm going through with this! Not yet scared, just surreal

I'm having the gastric sleeve. My nerves are definitely getting the best of me! I keep reading all these horror stories which isn't good. I wish us all good luck and sending prayers up for all of us!!

Same here. I just keep praying that I won't be miserable those first few months. I know it's the right thing to do and I want it to so bad but still super scared.

Don't be nervous! everything will be okay, when you wake up from surgery you will think to yourself "it's already over". I was nervous too but there was no reason. Good luck to you

Thank you..I'm so worried about complications and I'm trying to calm my fear by talking to as many people as possible. But sometimes that's not good either. ????

I was really bummed when got on scale at doc and had only lost 6 pounds. Need to lose10 for surgery. My bmi is 35 so they said I would be okay. My friend had to remind me that I ate like a pig for a week and a half before I started the fast. So I have actually lost 11 pounds. Anyone else have this happen?
