Pre-op diet and insomnia?

Hi,

I am scheduled for surgery on Tuesday 6/28. I have been on the preop diet for several days and I cannot sleep! Has anyone else had this issue?

    Is it hunger? I find it hard to sleep due to hunger! But I am super tired....on day 2

    This is just my best guess; but I think any major change might jolt our bodies a bit. I personally find it very hard to sleep when I'm hungry. Try drinking a calming tea; the warm tea may give you the illusion of a full belly and the tea benefit may help you get to sleep.
