I had Nexplanon in place for 7 months prior to my surgery, and I was glad my menstruation had been very few and light, sometimes 2 months late yay! It's about 8 weeks post-op, and I've already had 3 cycles where each lasted more than a week. I originally got the Nexplanon because I hated getting my period (and too bad the Mirena IUD couldn't fit inside my uterus). Anyone on hormonal birth control, did your period ever disappear again?

I have had the Mirena for about 5 years, and up until the point of surgery, I didn't have my cycle. Once I started losing the weight, I had my cycle like clockwork. Granted it only lasts two days and isn't super heavy, I still get one.

I've had the Nexplanon since Feb 2016 and the first year was pretty good. Never had any cycles but this year I noticed I get a cycle every other month, once I have surgery next month I know it will change too. I'm thinking of getting it re-done later this year.
