Yes, it happens, especially if you are on a very strict plan. Some are more strenuous than others. I only lost 10 lbs on my preop, but I literally have an almost zero metabolism as my adrenal gland

I only lost 10 lbs on my preop, but I literally have an almost zero metabolism as my adrenal glands were burned out from years of medications.

However, post op, I'm now down 50 lbs at 9 weeks. Hello!!! Best. Decision. Ever.

Good luck!!!

I finished at 20 lbs for two weeks, the surgeons were quite happy with how much my liver had shrunk. I'm 3 days post op and seem to be making a speedy recovery. Stick to the pre op shakes it will help with post surgery recovery. Good luck everyone.

I am on day 5 of shakes and calorie free beverages. I'm hungry but not starving. I have snuck a couple of bites from my kids' food. I am down 12 pounds thus far. It's gonna be a long 9 days.

I do not have a surgery date because surgery is contingent on my shake diet results. Hopefully I can get it done soon!!

I have my first appointment June 27th and I excited and scared all at the same time. I am a struggling type 2 diabetic and my weight is 307. My doctor feels this will be the right decision for me.

I am just starting week 2 of my 2 week plan. Surgery is next Monday 6/13. I have lost 13 lbs since I started last week. Im also surprised by how much I've lost. I expected a little the first two or three days, but I expected it to taper off as the week went on...hopefully it just keeps going this week and onto post op!!
