Diagnosed With Ulcers

Hello. I'm new to the community and just had my endoscopy done today in preparation for my revision from Band to RNY. The result shows that I have ulcers I have to go back in a week to get the results of the biopsy but I am curious to know if anyone out there was diagnosed with ulcers during the pre-op screenings and if it affected your ability to be cleared for weight loss surgery?

I had ulcerative colitis before my surgery and had no problems getting cleared. A month after being able to come off the Prevacid ( I think 4 months) I developed an ulcer and was told I would need to take Prevacid for life to reduce the risk, no problems sinceI have been on it. I celebrate my 1 year anniversary the 28 of May.

Wow thanks a bunch. I am now on Pepcid and will likely be on that at least through this approval process and perhaps for life as well;, we'll have to see. Happy to hear that it did not affect your insurance approval. Congrats on your weight loss.
