Running Question

Hey guys! I'm 4 weeks out as of tomorrow (Monday, May 23rd). I know it won't be until about 5-6 weeks until I'm cleared to go to the gym, which I assumed meant lifting a tiny bit more and being more flexible, etc. I've always wanted to do the Couch to 5K program and now after the surgery is the perfect time to make that a reality. My question is, is running something I have to wait until I'm cleared for or is that allowed just like walking is?

Thanks!!
